Delaware plays a leading role nationally in the arena of unclaimed property compliance.  The Supreme Court decision Texas v. New Jersey, 379 U.S. 674 (1965) assigns enhanced unclaimed property collection responsibilities to a company’s state of incorporation, and many choose Delaware as their state of domicile.

With the enactment of DE SB 104 on August 1st, Delaware updated its unclaimed property statute including the unclaimed property voluntary disclosure agreement and audit programs.

Attending this webinar will allow the participant to:

  • Become familiar with your company’s compliance requirements with Delaware’s unclaimed property statute, amended by DE SB 104 in August 2021.
  • Review details of Delaware’s annual unclaimed property filing requirements.
  • Get an overview of Delaware’s annual compliance review process.
  • Learn about Delaware’s ongoing voluntary disclosure agreement and audit programs and the differences between each program.
  • Gain an understanding Delaware’s owner reunification efforts.
