Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) has been picking up traction as a valuation methodology in the UK and Europe.
Only a year ago, there were a handful of European fund managers using DCF. But fast track to today, there’s been a particularly noticeable trend in the Pan-European open-ended space, where investor demand for increased transparency on valuation movements has driven fund managers to mandate its adoption from 3rd party valuers. DCF is the main valuation standard in the US and now global investment players are also key influencers in European DCF adoption.
